Before founding Priscus Participations et Priscus Finance, Philippe has occupied various top management positions within the insurance groups AGF and Allianz in France and in Asia. He has been afterwards on of the managers of the French investment bank Arjil & Associés. During his career of over 30 years in the financial sector he has managed over 100 m&a transactions in c. 20 countries. Philippe is graduated from HEC (79) and Paris IX Dauphine.
Michel Gonnet started his career in 1981 in the Ministry of Finance. He held various positions from1981 to 1998, including at the foreign economic relations direction as commercial counselor in South Korea, head of office, deputy director and director. Michel Gonnet was “Director of Public Accounting” from 1995 to 1998. He has been technical advisor of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Edmond Alphandéry and of the Minister of Budget, Nicolas Sarkozy, in charge of the general organization of the Ministry from 1993 to 1995, then “chargé de mission” for the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alain Madelin, in charge of the state administrative reform and the modernization of the ministry (1995). He joined the Caisse des Dépôts in 1998 as General Secretary before becoming its Deputy General Director in charge of the general interest missions (territorial development, SME, social housing, digital equipment, legal professions, …) and after that he became President and CEO of C3D, which was in charge of the non financial subsidiaries of the “Caisse des Dépôts” (transports, tourism, engineering, real estate). Michel joined the Group Caisse d’Epargne in 2004 as CEO of Crédit Foncier de France. He held various positions in the Group: Director of the regional development banking at the Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne (SME, local authorities, social economy) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Financière Océor in charge of the international operations. Since January 2010, Michel Gonnet established its own company, and realized by number of advisory missions, including several in Africa - for instance: Establishment of the Caisse des Dépôts of Tunisia; Commercial agreement between the French “Banque Postale” and AttijariWafabank concerning the Moroccan residents in France etc. He is now part of Priscus’ team, as a partner of Priscus Finance.
XAVIER DE MEAUX
Xavier started his career in 1987 in Arjil Bank (Lagardère group) in Paris. In 1990 he established the subsidiary of the bank in Spain, focused on mergers and acquisitions in the region. In 2004 he joined a wholesale insurance broker in order to establish a subsidiary in Spain. In 2012 Xavier was part of an MBO over a large French insurance broker: Eurodommages. Xavier has advised major international M&A transactions for clients such as: Danone, parmalat, Médéric, Campofrio, Ferrovial etc. Xavier holds an IMBA from ISG Paris and has been lecturer at Instituto de Empresa (IE), Madrid.
More than 30 years carrier in the financial sector, mainly in Société Générale Group, where he has been head of the Group’s strategy, CEO of SG Asset Management, CEO of Crédit du Nord. He has been as well COO of Dexia Credit Local. Since 2013, strategic advisor and investor in several successful French startups, mainly FinTechs . Alain is a founder and Chairman of France FinTech (the association of the fintech companies in France)
Bruno has over 25 years of experience in investment banking. He started his career as in KPMG, in the audit department, specialized in banks and insurance. He has been afterwards occupied various positions in leading investment banks in France and the United Kingdom (Salomon Brothers, BNP Paribas and Bucephale Finance) mainly in the FIG sector. He has been involved in major operations in the financial sector such as the friendly merger between Groupe Caisse d’Epargne et Groupe Banque Populaire in France. Bruno gratuated from the Institut d’Etudes Polidiques, Paris and holds a bachelor degree in law.
Graduated from Kedge Business School, he spent his entire career in mergers & acquisitions advisory sucessively at Banexi, Natixis and CIC in Paris, New York and Milan. Jean-Luc has advised industrial sales and acquisitions, LBOs / MBOs in various sectors such as media, healthcare, distribution and direct marketing. In 2010 Jean-Luc established Viducia, its own advisory firm specialised in advisory of managers, and in 2016 he joined Priscus.
Ivan has been financial analyst focusing on financial institutions in Arjil et Associés Banque. Later, he joined the strategy department of Groupe Bel, and then Rothschild & Cie’s Emerging markets M&A team in Paris. From 2007 to 2013 he was partner in the company representing Rothschild & Cie in Bulgaria. He has participated to number of M&A transactions in France, Eastern Europe and North Africa. Ivan is graduated in finance and in law, from the University of Paris (Sorbonne and Assas) and in International Economic Relations from the University for National and World Economy, Sofia.
Olivier began his career in 1997 in private equity with PAI Partners, based in Hong Kong. He then joined CDC Ixis Asset Management (now Natixis Investment Managers) as VP Corporate Development based in Paris and later on the Credit agricole group as VP Corporate Development within its International Affiliates Division and then in the Group Finance In-House M&A division. In 2006, Olivier became Head of Corporate Development of Banque Populaire Group (now BPCE). Prior to Priscus Finance, Olivier served in the In-house M&A team of the BPCE Group and was notably in charge of divestments of non-core companies exposed to the real estate sector. Olivier has over 18 years combined experience in principal investing experience and participated or managed over 40 major transactions in asset management, banking, insurance and real-estate. Olivier graduated from EM Lyon and holds a degree in Business Management - Diplom-Kaufmann from the Technical University Berlin.
PATRICK MAMOU MANI
Previously to joining Priscus Finance, Patrick has occupied various management positions within AGF, Sofinco and Suez particularly In the field of corporate development. Philippe is graduated from HEC (79) and Paris IX Dauphine.
Michèle has over 25 years of experience in M&A, strategy and equity financing in France and in Europe. She has advised more than 100 domestic or cross border transactions in many sectors: banking, insurance, real estate, corporate services, healthcare, digital fintech platforms, healthtech.... She has been for 12 years as co-head of Investment Banking and head of the financial institutions, corporate services and wealth engineering divisions within international investment banks: BNPP, Merrill Lynch and CA CIB. From 2006 to 2018, Michèle held the position of Chief Strategy Officer for Banking, Insurance and Real Estate at La Poste Group. She led the deployment and financing of La Banque Postale and Poste-Immo, the diversification into the silver economy and the digital transformation of the network and service offers; Michèle was responsible of the creation of a corporate venture fund for La Poste, Xange Capital 2 , of which she currently chairs the Strategic Committee. Since the end of 2018, Michèle is President of the consulting firm MLConseil and Partner of Priscus Finance. She holds several board positions in banks and listed companies. Michèle graduated from HEC Paris, Sciences Po Paris and Paris Dauphine University
After a first experience within the Moroccan investment bank CFG Bank, in which he participated in transactions involving the largest Moroccan groups, Jalil became an independent consultant in mergers and acquisitions since 2001. As such, he led a numerous of divestitures and fund raising operations in various sectors: Real Estate, Tourism, Insurance, Brokerage, Construction, Agro-Industry, IT Services, Financial Institutions. Jalil graduated from Sciences Po Paris and holds a Master's degree in finance from the University of Paris Dauphine. His network covers the Maghreb, French-speaking Africa and the French overseas territories.
Pierre TROUILLET began his career as an officer in the French Navy where, after holding positions as head of the maritime department, he joined the Délégation générale de l'armement, before becoming a commander at sea and then joining the office of the Major General. In 1996, he joined the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs. In 2000, he became advisor to the Moroccan Minister of Social Affairs. Upon his return to France, from 2002 to 2004, he held several positions in ministerial offices before heading the office of the Secretary of State for the professional integration of young people. From 2005 to 2007, he was deputy director of the cabinet of the Minister of Social Affairs and then of the Minister of Economy and Finance. In 2008, he joined the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry as General Manager while also being a director of the Viparis group. In 2016, he co-founded the Auctus Lending group, specializing in operating cycle financing for industrial SMEs and SMIs. Since 2018, he has been a partner at Priscus Finance and founder of the consulting firms, Ségus and Esquirol. An engineer graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées, François Gauthey has devoted most of his career to infrastructure and transport. He has held important responsibilities within the public authorities: Treasury Department at the Ministry of Finance (1990-1993), Office of the Minister of Finance (1993-1995), Advisor to the Prime Minister in charge of Housing, Equipment and Transports (2002-2004), Chief of Staff of the Minister of Transport (2004-2005), Chief of Staff of the Minister of Higher Education and Research (2005-2006). He has also managed various public and private companies in this sector: Vice President at Aéroports de Paris (ADP 1995-2002), CEO of Voies Navigables de France (2006-2007), CEO of Sanef (Sanef and SAPN motorway networks 2007- 2015), Deputy CEO of Getlink and CEO of Eurotunnel (2015-2020). François GAUTHEY holds an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs, a Masters Degree in Strategy and is Chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur
After graduating from ESCE, Mallorie held various positions in Sales Management, Partnership Management and Innovative Projects Management whithin the telecom sector, mainly at Sigfox, Sierra Wireless and Bouygues Telecom. With her expertise in the Internet of Things, she created a consulting company Tech For Good, for the large-scale adoption of innovative technologies to accelerate the environmental transition. She collaborates with many Non Governmental Organisations. In this capacity, she became an Independent Expert at the Solar Impulse Foundation in 2019 to accompany the evaluation of innovative solutions for the planet. In March 2021, she joined Priscus Finance as a Partner in order to develop the Tech For Good practice.
Jérémie has started his career as a corporate lawyer, specialized in M&A transactions, in large law firms in Paris and Mumbai. He has advised numerous French companies on their entry strategy in India. He has then founded with his partners the largest French F&B group in India (250 employees, 12 outlets). Jérémie has been appointed as Foreign Trade Advisor to the French Government and has been recognized as Entrepreneur of the year by the French Embassy in India and the Indo French Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris (Finance & Strategy), Paris X University and is a qualified attorney
Hocine has worked for close to 10 years for the General Directorate of Treasury in Saudi Arabia and in Africa (Mauritania, Uganda). Expert in Economics and Financial issues, he worked with multiple governmental authorities and with major public and private groups especially in the Gulf region. He joined Priscus Finance as Senior Advisor in M&A, investments, and innovation matters with a focus on the Gulf countries and Africa. He is graduated from Sciences Po Paris.
Raphaël Goué is an expert in fintechs and consumer finance. He is sharing his time between Europe and Asia and handling cross-border projects between the two regions since the mid 90’s focusing significantly on financial services. He has been leaving more than 10 years in Asia. He has led projects in several ASEAN countries and China. Raphaël has for instance supported global financial institutions and fintechs in their digital strategy in Asia, in their development and M&A, but also in supporting some Asian fintechs in assessing business opportunities in Europe. He was previously holding different responsibilities in groups as Société Générale, Vivendi Universal, Booz & Co and Capital One in Europe, Africa and Asia. He was chairing of the Consumer Finance and NBFI Group at the European Chamber of Commerce in China between 2009 and 2018, he was an elected board member of the French Chamber of Commerce in China between 2009 and 2017. As senior advisor of the global retail banking association EFMA, Raphaël has been supporting the development of the banking leading association in selected Asian markets, and supporting as well EFMA in the fintech sector in Europe. He holds an Engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie in Nancy, a master in material science from Ecole de Mines de Nancy, and a MBA from HEC (Paris) he finalized at the Columbia Business School (New York).
Michel started his professional career in insurance with MMA, before spending several years as a business consultant in the financial sector at McKinsey in France, Canada and Switzerland. After that, he started and managed the insurance subsidiary of Credit Mutuel Arkea and afterward joined the Executive Committee of Groupama where he was in charge of the Group strategy and of the French non-life activities. Michel graduated from HEC and holds an MBA from McGill University.
Partner at Priscus Iberia and Senior adviser of Priscus Finance in Paris. In 1988 and 1993, he created two Portuguese branches of the French insurance group Abeille (Groupe Victoire), of which he was managing director until 2005. In 1999, he created a life insurance company, in a joint venture between the UK group Aviva and the Spanish group Banco Popular Español, and was its CEO until 2006. From 2007 to 2018, he joined Banco Popular Portugal as executive board member. During the same period, he was CEO of Popular Gestão de Activos, a real estate and asset management company. From 2015 to 2018, he joined Primestar Servicing as a non-executive board member. Since November 2020, he is executive member of the monitoring committee of Novo Banco. Miguel holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Master's degree in European Economics, leadership and management courses at INSEAD and the PADE from AESE/IESE.
Krees joined Priscus Finance in April 2021. Prior to this position, Krees worked as an M&A and Restructuring Analyst Intern at RSM France. Krees graduated from La Sorbonne University (Master Banking and Finance). He also studied at University Carlos III de Madrid.
Graduate of Harvard University (MPA), MA in Finance and Banking from Paris 2 Pantheon-Assas, and PhD in banking from UNWE, Valery has a long track record in working with tier one banks such as HSBC, Fortis Bank and Crédit Agricole Bank in France. He has been in charge of big corporate clients with Société Générale in Bulgaria, a partner in the company representing Rothschild & Cie in Bulgaria, Head of Strategy and Development of the Bulgarian Development Bank, and Chairman & CEO of Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria (a national promotional institution operating as fund of funds for distribution of European Structural and Investment Funds with EUR 600 million assets under management).
