Biography :

Raphaël is an expert in fintechs and consumer credit. He divides his time between Europe and Asia and has been managing cross-border projects between the two regions since the mid-90s with a significant focus on financial services. He has lived in Asia for over 10 years.

He has managed projects in several ASEAN countries and in China. For example, Raphaël has helped global financial institutions and fintechs with their digital strategy in Asia, their development and their mergers and acquisitions, as well as helping some Asian fintechs to evaluate commercial opportunities in Europe. He has previously held various positions in groups such as Société Générale, Vivendi Universal, Booz & Co and Capital One in Europe, Africa and Asia.

He was Chairman of the Consumer Finance and NBFI Group at the European Chamber of Commerce in China between 2009 and 2018, and was an elected member of the Board of Directors of the French Chamber of Commerce in China between 2009 and 2017. As a senior advisor to the global retail banking association EFMA, Raphaël supported the development of this leading banking association in selected Asian markets, and also supported EFMA in the fintech sector in Europe.

Education:
Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie de Nancy (engineering degree), Ecole de Mines de Nancy (master’s degree in materials science), and MBA from HEC Paris, which he completed at Columbia Business School (New York).
