Biography :
After graduating from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in 1981, Michel Gonnet spent 17 years in the Ministry of Finance, in particular in the Department of External Economic Relations and from 1995 to 1998 as Director of Public Accounts. He was technical adviser to the Minister for the Economy and Finance, Edmond Alphandéry, and the Minister for the Budget, Nicolas Sarkozy, from 1993 to 1995, and then special adviser to the Minister for the Economy and Finance, Alain Madelin (1995).
He joined the Caisse des Dépôts in 1998 as General Secretary, before being appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of general interest missions (regional development, SMEs, social housing, digital equipment, regulated banking, legal professions) and then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of C3D, in charge of non-financial subsidiaries (transport, tourism, engineering, real estate). He joined Groupe Caisse d’Epargne in 2004 as Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Foncier de France.
He was then appointed Director of Regional Development at the Caisse Nationale des Caisses d’Epargne (SMEs, local authorities, social economy) and Chairman of the Executive Board of Financière Océor in charge of international business.
In 2010, Michel Gonnet set up his consultancy company EUDOXIA and in 2017 joined GB2A Finances as Chairman. He is an independent director and Chairman of committees of several companies. He joined Priscus Finance in 2014.
